The Sandown Sprint is the islands premier motor racing event, sponsored by The Island Car Centre. The races are held on the closed public road running along the beach.

100 cars participate, ranging from classic Ford escorts and Minis to professionally prepared racing cars. As a spectators, you get an up-close and elevated view of the track. The Race Village is based in Fort Street. This event is now in its third year.

Tickets cost from just £10 per day if you buy an earlybird weekend ticket in advance online (limited time offer). Concessions for children aged 12 – 16 years and free admission for accompanied children aged 11 years and under. No dogs are admitted.
