Pet Friendly Self Catering

Welcome to our pet friendly self catering bungalows on the Isle of Wight. We are a family of animal lovers. in fact, we named our bungalows after family pets! We have four bungalows, one is ideal for a small family and has two bedrooms (one with bunk beds). The other bungalows are double or twin bedrooms (Basil also has a sofa bed). You can view the properties below.

Dog Friendly Town

Our bungalows are in a courtyard of the hotel and situated close to the train station and St Altos Park. The High Street, promenade and beach is a short walk away. Many pubs, cafes and restaurants are dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on all beaches from 1st, October until 30th, April. Outside of this period, there is a designated beach after the car park at Yaverland, a few minutes walk away.

Rocky

2 Bedroom Family

Rocky is a two-bedroom bungalow in its own courtyard. A double bedroom and bedroom with bunk beds connect to the en-suite bathroom. There is a large open plan living room and full kitchen.

Zeus

Double Bedroom

Zeus sits slightly elevated in the courtyard and is a lovely, well-appointed one bedroom bungalow with an open-plan living room and full kitchen / dining area. The en-suite bedroom has a double bed.

Basil

Double or Twin

The open-plan living room is bright and airy, a skylight complements the large windows and the patio doors which lead out to the courtyard and seating area. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area is provided.

Poppy

Double or Twin

Our latest bungalow, Poppy is a comfortable living space, with en-suite bedroom providing a rainfall shower. Large screen tv’s in both rooms. This is a dog friendly bungalow with direct access to the front lawn.

Parking and EV Charging

The Wighthill has off-road parking where available and EV charging is by appointment.

Great Location

The Wighthill is located in a quiet area of Sandown, yet just moments away from the train station, high street and the promenade. For those travelling from the mainland to Ryde, take the train from the pierhead to Sandown, and we are a short stroll away. If you are coming by bus, the stop is very close. the island is very lucky to have an excellent bus service. If travelling by car, we have off-street parking, and an EV charging point by appointment.

The island is visited all year round, and its landscape and surroundings are truly unique. Whatever the weather, you will find many varied and interesting things to see and do.
