Isle of Wight Scooter Rally
Thursday, 22nd - Monday, 26th August
Celebration
It does not matter whether you are a scooterist; this event brings out the best of the Island. The event is, of course, based on the love of the scooter, but it is also a celebration of an era of style, great music, and camaraderie. Thousands of Scooterists from all over the UK and abroad come to the island over the August bank holiday weekend. Many guests will arrive days before, some even weeks. Even if you do not own a Vespa or Lambretta, you cannot help but appreciate the craftsmanship that has gone into restoring and decorating these much-loved scooters.
Buzz
There is a buzz in the air (and fumes), and locals have learned to shop early. The Scooterists can be seen on the roads day and evening around the island, enjoying the amazing views and countryside. Events happen all over the island; we have listed our favourites below. There are live music performances, DJs spinning vinyl, merchandise stalls, street food and, of course, many bars and pubs put on events during the weekend. We are lucky here at the Wighthill to host a great group of Scooterists every year, our friends and family. Everybody is welcome at the Wighthill, and we receive many visitors who catch up with friends.
So Much Happening
The Sandown Airport is the rally’s base between the 22nd and 26th of August. There are licensed bars, food stalls, merchandise, parts, camping and glamping areas. Sunday is the day for the big Ridout, and thousands of Scooters and riders meet up, and it is a spectacle. We will add a list of events around the island, so bookmark this page and check back.
Are there offers or promotions
