Award Winning Attraction
Don Walser started planning Monkey Haven in 1999, and despite people thinking he was crazy, his family and friends got behind his vision. In 2010, Monkey Haven opened and has since become a significant attraction in the Isle of Wight, winning a Gold Award from Visit England and a place in the Trip Advisor Hall of Fame. Monkey Haven has rescued hundreds of creatures in need, from tiny songbirds to the mighty Siamangs, many reptiles, and other creatures in crisis.
Your Visit Helps
Monkey Haven generates the funding it requires to help animals in crisis from visitors to the sanctuary. The charity that pays for the care and support of the animals is called The LEAF Foundation (Life Enrichment for Animal Fulfillment). So, by visiting Monkey Haven, having a cup of tea, or buying souvenirs in the shop, you’re supporting The Leaf Foundation and the animals that are cared for.
Monkey Haven is open daily from 10 a.m.; visit the official website HERE for more information.
